Fish Eye self Fresnel Lens Pigoen Point

Jeff Parry

Welcome to Jeff Parry Photography,

Since 1997 I have lived and worked at the Pigeon Point Lighthouse in Pescadero, California. I have been taking photographs since I was a kid with the help from my father StanParryPhotography.com. I grew up in the Bay Area and I graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz and have a BA in Cultural Anthropology. I manage a non-profit international hostel now www.pigeonpointhostel.org, but from 1997 to 2003 I was a naturalist at the Pigeon Point Environmental Education Program where I taught school children at Pigeon Point, Año Nuevo State Reserve and Memorial County Park the natural history of Northern Elephant Seals, California Gray Whales, inter-tidal ecology, redwood forest ecology and local maritime history. I was for a few years an employee at the Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park where I helped the docents. I also volunteered for 6 years as a naturalist and docent at Año Nuevo State Reserve and Ranch Del Oso (Waddell Creek) State Park.

I have been surfing since 1982 but artistically I enjoy photographing Oceanscapes, long exposures, high dynamic range photography and time-lapse photography. I use Nikon D600, D90 and a N80 with a Nikkor 18-135mm, 70-180mm micro zoom, 500mm f/4.0 P and a Sigma 15mm lenses. I use Lee filters.

For my kite aerial photography with a fish-eye 360 degree lens I use a Nikon Coolpix 5000 and a couple of single string foil kites suspended on a picvac cross mount from the string 100 feet below the kite.

Prints ordered through this site use Bay Photo Labs out of Santa Cruz, California and are one of the best labs in the world. If you want a custom print that you don't see in the check-out area please let me know! Jeffdparry@gmail.com or cell 831-252-7279.

Feel free to rate or comment or purchase my photographs!

Mahalo,
Jeff
